May 4, Fineko/abc.az. The number of transactions via Visa payment cards issued by resident financial organizations in Azerbaijan reached 167.896 million and the volume of transactions - 8.696 billion manats for Jan-Mar 2026.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that compared with Q1 of 2025, the number of transactions grew by 72.485 million (or 76%) and the volume by 3.163 billion manats (or 57%).

Also, the quantity of transactions on Visa cards issued by non-resident financial organizations totaled 625,800 and the volume - 54 million manats.

As of the end of March, the number of payment cards in circulation in the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 62,000 against the previous month and reached 22.409 million. Compared with Jan-Mar 2025, this figure grew by 10%.
