April 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of April 1, 2026, Azerbaijan's guaranteed public debt amounted to 6.762 billion manats (5.2% of GDP), which is 34.8% less than at the beginning of the year.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance that 5.186 billion manats ($3.5 billion), or 76.7% of the debt, accounted for external loans and 1.576 billion manats, or 23.3%, for domestic loans.
As of the reporting date, 40.1% of the portfolio of guaranteed government debt consisted of fixed-rate liabilities and 59.9% of floating-rate liabilities.
The share of the US dollar in debt's currency structure was 47%, the euro - 25.5%, the manat - 19.4%, the Japanese yen - 2.7%, and other currencies - 5.4%.
