March 11, Fineko/abc.az. In February 2026, Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production stood at 458,000 barrels, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The figure also stood at 457,000 barrels in January of this year.
Azerbaijan’s average daily crude oil production totaled 466,000 barrels, 461,000 barrels, 459,000 barrels and 458,000 barrels in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters of last year, respectively.
Country’s average daily crude oil production reached 461,000 barrels in 2025 (20,000 barrels less versus the indicator of 2024).
Azerbaijan is a participant in the OPEC+ agreement. OPEC+ is an initiative involving the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC countries aimed at reducing oil production in order to balance the market.
According to the agreement reached by the ministers of the OPEC+ countries, Azerbaijan’s production quota will reach 551,000 b/d until the end of 2026. Thus, Azerbaijan lagged behind its quota by 93,000 barrels in February this year within the framework of OPEC+, and by 90,000 barrels in 2025, as a whole.
