March 2, Fineko/abc.az. Gas reserves in Europe's underground storage facilities have dropped below 30%, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Gazprom.
According to the source, the level of storage occupancy in the leading European economies is significantly lower than the European average. Thus, in Germany, reserves make up 20.6%, in France - 21.4%, and in the Netherlands - 10.7%.
In the near future, European countries will have to start pumping gas into storage facilities again.
At the same time, the possible continuation of the tense situation in the Middle East may significantly affect both the price level and the stability of gas supplies.
An additional risk factor may be the weather situation: after a cold winter, forecasters predict a hot summer, which can also affect demand and price dynamics in the energy market.
