Russia redirects oil supplies from India to China

February 25, Fineko/abc.az. Russian companies have changed the logistics of oil exports, increasing supplies to China and reducing them to India, ABC.AZ informs with reference to Vortexa and Kplerdata. Large-capacity VLCC tankers are increasingly used for transportation, which makes it possible to compensate for the longer route and, if necessary, store oil at sea.

As a result, oil supplies to China increased from 1.39 million up to 2.09 million b/d, while exports to India decreased by around 700,000 b/d. Growth of purchases from China also forces Russian exporters to increase discounts on Urals oil compared to benchmark Brent.
