February 24, Fineko/abc.az. In January of this year, 16.125 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkey via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Turkish company BOTAŞ.
For comparison, in January 2025, this figure was 17.571 million barrels. Thus, the volume of transported oil decreased by 1.446 million barrels, or 8.2%.
In 2025, 206.434 million barrels of oil were carried through Turkey via BTC. For comparison, in 2024 this figure was 224.142 million barrels, which means a decrease in transportation volume by 7.9%.
Since August 2002, the distribution of shares in BTC Co., established to implement the project, is as follows: bp (30.10%), SOCAR (32.97%), MOL (8.90%), TPAO (6.53%), Eni (5.00%), TotalEnergies (5.00%), ITOCHU (3.40%), ONGC Videsh (3.10%), ExxonMobil (2.50%) and INPEX (2.50%).
