February 3, Fineko/abc.az. American company NeoVolta, working in the field of home energy storage systems, is creating a joint venture with PotisEdge (China).

ABC.AZ informs that joint venture NeoVolta Power LLC will operate a plant in Georgia with capacity of 2 GWh a year.

The restructuring related to changes in U.S. law: PotisEdge lost the right to subsidies due to Chinese control over production. In the new JV, NeoVolta will receive 60% of shares, PotisEdge and its largest shareholder LONGi - by 20%, the remaining share will go to independent investors.

Several Chinese solar energy companies have taken similar steps to comply with U.S. regulations, including Canadian Solar and JA Solar, which sold its Phoenix plant last July.
