February 2, Fineko/abc.az. Japanese corporation Suzuki, together with its Indian subsidiary Suzuki R&D Center India (SRDI), has opened the second biogas plant in India, BANAS SUZUKI BIOGAS PLANT, ABC.AZ reports, referring to company's press service.
The company was built in the city of Bhukhala, Gujarat. The first plant was opened in December 2025 in Agthale, Banaskantha District, Gujarat.
The new enterprise will produce and sell biogas as fuel for cars running on liquefied natural gas, as well as organic fertilizers from cow manure after biogas production.
Suzuki added that it will continue to develop the biogas business to promote economic growth in India, as well as achieving carbon neutrality in the region.
