February 2, Fineko/abc.az. The premiums and compensation payments for voluntary cargo (transport) insurance in Azerbaijan in 2025 has been announced.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank, for Jan-Dec 2025, the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 6.454 million manats (557,000 manats or 8.0% less versus Jan-Dec 2024). In 2024, this figure reached 7.1 million manats.

Payments on these types of insurance totaled 521,000 manats (1.24 million manats, or 3.4-fold less in annual comparison). Over Jan-Dec 2024, insurance payments were made for 1.762 million manats.

The loss rate was 8.1% in 2025 (decline of 17.0 p.p. against 2024, when the loss rate was 25.1%).
