January 28, Fineko/abc.az. As of the end of December, the number of payment cards in circulation in the systems of banks and Azerpocht LLC increased by 145,000 compared with the previous month and reached 21.98 million cards.

ABC.AZ informs that compared with last year’s same term, this indicator grew by 10.5%. At the same time, the number of debit cards increased by 12.8%, while the number of credit cards declined by 8%.

The increase in the number of payment cards had positive impact on non-cash payments. Thus, in December, the domestic non-cash transactions in the country grew by 19% compared with last year’s same term. In December 2025, the domestic non-cash payments made with use of bank cards reached 10.097 million manats.
