January 21, Fineko/abc.az. The first goal of the SOCAR Karbamid plant is to meet domestic demand.

ABC.AZ informs that Kutay Durna, the director of the Carbamide Plant of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), at an event dedicated to the acceptance of the plant as a member of the Global Lighthouse Network of the World Economic Forum.

According to Durna, carbamide has such prices at the world market as gold and oil: "This price changes weekly, daily. For example, in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, or European countries, carbamide costs approx. $400. The only determining factor in this matter is logistical costs. If there comes a period when we will not be able to sell the products, we can take on the logistical costs and send them to other countries. There are no problems with quality, because sometimes it is for this quality that we sell it for $10-20 more expensive compared to the usual average price of carbamide."

He added that the first goal of the plant is primarily to satisfy the domestic market: "That is, after providing all farmers in the domestic market, we export the remaining 85-90%. Our goal is to operate at maximum capacity to be able to deliver products to customers. In short, we can sell everything we produce. We have no problem with the sale of products. With production at maximum capacity, we can realize the entire volume."
