September 14, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) is updating the terms of service for operational management of increased passenger traffic in the new season.

Starting from September 15, due to the repair of the railway bridge on the Khirdalan–Baku route, the travel time, which currently stands at 45 minutes, will be reduced by 10 minutes to 35 minutes. After the bridge is fully restored, the travel time will be reduced to previous 26 minutes, and passenger service on the Khirdalan–Sumgayit line will also be restored.

In addition, the number of flights on the Baku–Khirdalan–Baku route has been increased from 26 up to 32, and the total number of daily commuter flights from 90 up to 96.

At the same time, 11 turnstiles have been installed in the new hall (the total number has been increased to 46) to prevent the accumulation of passengers at the Baku Railway Station. 58 additional validators for bank card payments are located at various stations, and Mastercard and contactless NFC payment options are activated at the turnstiles, along with Visa.

Payment for travel on the day of the trip has been deducted, and at the next stage it is planned to increase the number of facial recognition terminals SIMA Pay.
