January 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan informs that according to participants in the local insurance market, a total of 2,156 complaints were received by 9 non-life insurance companies in connection with the incidents that occurred during the holidays (December 31 - January 4). Of those appeals, 1,876 related to insurance claims for compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of motor vehicles, 260 for CASCO insurance, 15 for compulsory insurance of real estate and 5 for property insurance against fire and other risks.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan that in 1,237 cases, the estimated amount of damage was determined in the amount of 1.243 million manats.

The damage assessment process continues for the remaining 919 cases.

It is expected that after the completion of the assessment in all cases, the total amount of damage will exceed 2 million manats.

Over the reported period, 70% of incidents for which insurance companies received complaints were recorded in the capital Baku, and 30% - in the northern foothills of the republic.
