December 25, Fineko/abc.az. As of December 1, 2025, the assets of the banking sector of Azerbaijan amounted to 58.748 billion manats (17.1% more than on December 1, 2024), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the CBA.

Of them, net loans to customers amounted to 27.919 billion manats. During the year, sector's loan portfolio grew by 8.4%, while the share of loans in assets decreased from 51.4% to 47.5%.

Banking sector's liabilities grew by 18% up to 51.517 billion manats, including the deposit portfolio by 5.7% up to 37.2 million manats. Of them, 15.847 billion manats account deposits of individuals and 21.354 billion manats for deposits of legal entities.

During the year, household funds in banks increased by 14.3%, while company funds by 0.1%.

Over Jan-Nov 2025, banks' liabilities to the Central Bank decreased 7-fold, up to 500,000 manats.

The authorized capital of the banking sector grew by 11.2% up to 7.23 billion manats.
