If to compare the business operations of Azerbaijani insurance companies on compulsory motor insurance in the first 3 quarters of 2025 and in the same period of 2024, the total premiums increased from 126 million manats up to 134.7 million manats (a rise of around 6.9%).

Payments also grew by 6.5%, increasing from 92.99 million manats up to 98.98 million manats for the same period, ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank.

Here, "fees" denote the insurance premiums that insurance companies receive for compulsory auto insurance, and "payments" are the compensations they pay for insured events under these contracts.

In other words, fees are the company's income, and payments are its customer service costs.
