ADSEA chair: 90% of Azerbaijan's drinking water needs to be met by 2030

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. By 2030, 90% of Azerbaijan's drinking water needs will be met.

ABC.AZ informs that the chairman of the State Agency for Water Resources of Azerbaijan, Zaur Mikayilov, made the relevant statement on the third day of the Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW2025).

According to Mikayilov, 95% of agriculture's irrigation needs will be provided more efficiently by 2030.

"By 2040, full inclusivity will be achieved in both drinking water and irrigation. These goals will be achieved through the introduction of modern technologies, new infrastructure projects and efficiency measures," he added.
