September 24, Fineko/abc.az. The National Bank of Kazakhstan has launched the first stablecoin denominated in tenge.

ABC.AZ informs that it was named Evo (from the English word evolution) and is linked to the national currency in a one-to-one ratio.

According to bank’s head Timur Suleimenov, the launch took place within the regulatory sandbox of the National Bank. At the same time, it is impossible to pay for goods and services with stablecoins in Kazakhstan.
