September 19, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has discussed with the American Citibank the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the energy and financial sectors.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to SOCAR, that discussions took place during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Citibank Managing Director, Global Head of Clean Energy Transition and Head of Natural Resources in the UK, Kacy Shepherd.

"At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the long-term cooperation between the company and Citibank, the current state of relations and jointly implemented projects were discussed. The parties also considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the energy and financial sectors, exchanged views on financing oil and gas and renewable energy projects implemented by SOCAR, and opportunities to enter the capital markets," SOCAR says.

In addition, discussions were held on other issues of mutual interest.
