September 18, Fineko/abc.az. The total cost of audit services rendered to business entities in Azerbaijan in the 1st half of this year increased by 12.4% versus Jan-Jun 2023.

ABC.AZ informs that this was reported at a meeting of the Council of the Chamber of Auditors.

It was noted that during this period, the total number of concluded contracts also increased by 12.8%. Of the 3,521 executed contracts, 2,387 were concluded for mandatory (67.8%) and 1,134 for voluntary (32.2%) audit.

According to the decision of the Chamber's Council, the heads of audit organizations and freelance auditors were instructed to provide high-quality services in accordance with the requirements of international auditing standards and the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants, increase transparency in their activities, and prevent unfair competition and dumping.
