September 4, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has achieved a certain level of digitalization in the financial market, but it still needs to be further advanced, CBA Deputy Chairman Vusal Khalilov said at a press conference dedicated to the ICPC 2025 World Finals, ABC.AZ reports.

According to him, the main goal of the regulator is to support the development of the financial market:

“Looking back at recent years, we can say that the primary driving force behind development has been digitalization. Thus, every new project, product, and service is delivered mainly through digital channels. At present, we are in urgent need of talented specialists in the digital sphere. We have already reached a certain level of digitalization in the financial market, but it must be enhanced further.”

He added that one of the main reasons why the CBA supports the competition is the identification of skilled professionals:

“Among the founders and driving forces of many leading technology companies are numerous ICPC alumni. We believe this competition will contribute to the development of the financial market and to the digital transformation of the country.”
