August 29, Fineko/abc.az. A number of Saudi companies signed six memorandums of understanding with Syria’s Ministry of Energy.
According to ABC.AZ, citing the Saudi Press Agency, the agreements cover various aspects of the energy sector, including gas exploration and development, drilling operations, gas processing, geophysical surveys, and interpretation of seismic analysis data.
In particular, TAQA and ADES Holding signed two documents aimed at developing integrated solutions for the development and management of oil and gas fields.
Arabian Drilling and ARGAS signed MoUs on cooperation in drilling and geophysical services. In the energy sector, Saudi Electricity Company and its subsidiary SE Project Development agreed to cooperate in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as engineering and consulting projects. ACWA Power will conduct studies and proposals on solar (up to 1,000 MW) and wind (up to 1,500 MW) energy, as well as energy storage systems. The document also provides for the analysis of Syrian power plants, their restoration and modernization, and the assessment of the national grid for optimal energy balance.
