August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Former Prime Minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat stated that under Maia Sandu’s leadership, the country has once again found itself in an inflationary spiral similar to the 1990s.
According to ABC.AZ, he noted that accumulated inflation over the past four years has reached 66%. He recalled that in 2022 inflation hit a record 30.2%, then fell to 7% by December 2024, but in 2025, due to rising energy prices, the situation worsened again. Filat emphasized that inflation is the result of mistakes and abuses of power, and that the country is “once again living in fear, having lost time and trust.”
