August 21, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan exported 661.7 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products from bituminous materials to Germany, worth USD 356.6 million.
According to ABC.AZ, this was stated in the report of the State Customs Committee.
The report notes that this figure is USD 8.4 million, or 2.4%, higher in value terms compared to the same period in 2024, and 131.5 million tons, or 24.8%, higher in volume terms.
Thus, in the first half of last year, Azerbaijan exported 530.2 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous materials to Germany, worth USD 348.3 million.
During this period, Germany ranked 6th among the importers of Azerbaijani oil.
In January–July of this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries worth USD 28,841.8 million, which is 7.25% more than in the same period last year.
Exports accounted for USD 15.2 billion of the foreign trade turnover, while imports stood at USD 13.6 billion. On a year-over-year basis, exports decreased by 5.4%, while imports increased by 26.1%.
As a result, a positive trade balance of USD 1.6 billion was recorded in foreign trade, which is 3.3 times lower compared to the same period last year.
