August 8, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia's international foreign exchange reserves amounted to $5 billion as of July 31, 2025, the National Bank of Georgia informs.
Over Jan-Jul 2025, country's foreign exchange reserves increased by $571.2 million, and in July alone – by $331.3 million. According to analysts, the change on international foreign exchange reserves related to the operations of the government and the National Bank of Georgia in the foreign exchange market.
The international reserves of the National Bank of Georgia for the first time reached the historic maximum on August 31, 2023 and amounted to $5.436 billion. In 2024, international reserves decreased by $562.1 million.
The main part of the reserves of the National Bank consists of international reserves converted into foreign currency, amounting to $3.8 billion.
