July 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline annually transports 1.4 million tons of oil from Kazakhstan to Turkey.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as saying this during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.

According to Tokayev, his country welcomes the intention of the Turkish oil company to operate in the Kazakh market: "At the same time, we are interested in using the investment opportunities of Turkish companies, their experience in the field of energy diversification and the construction of power plants."

The head of state added that the parties are ready to jointly implement major projects.
