July 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is to introduce a fixed monthly electricity tariff.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendment to the Law on Electric Power Industry approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

Under law, a fixed tariff is a monthly tariff element applied to each consumer in order to cover a portion of fixed costs that do not depend on the level of electricity consumption, which is determined by the regulatory authority.
