Oil prices peak in last 3 weeks

July 14, Fineko/abc.az. The price of crude oil Brent rose above $71 ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's statements about Russia.

ABC.AZ informs that the price of Brent on September futures on the London ICE Exchange grew by 1.64% and reached $71.52 per barrel at 14:18 on Baku time. For example, Brent exceeded the $71 mark for the first time since June 23, 2025.

On Monday, July 14, oil prices reached their highest in the last three weeks.

This increase was driven by expectations that the U.S. could impose new sanctions on Russia, which could affect global supplies, according to Reuters. At the same time, China's increased oil imports also contributed to higher prices.
