July 14, Fineko/abc.az. Iran has invested 60 million euros in the construction of the first unit of solar power station Aftab-e Sharq in Isfahan, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Iranian Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Mohammad Atabak, as saying this at the opening ceremony of the station.
He stressed that nearly 40% of the equipment and components for the first 120 MW unit were produced in Iran itself.
Completion of the remaining units of the station remains a priority, the minister added.
The new solar power plant in Isfahan is one of the 25 largest plants in the world and is being built with total investments of 305 million euros by Mobarakeh Steel Company. In the future, it will have five blocks.
