June 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, the insurance premiums for totally 719.4 million manats were gathered in the insurance market of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, citing data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the figure is 11.7% more versus Jan-May 2024.

Of them, 417.7 million manats accounted for life insurance and 301.7 million manats for non-governmental life insurance. The premiums on voluntary life insurance amounted to 370.6 million manats and on compulsory life insurance - 47.1 million manats. The collected premiums on voluntary insurance other than life insurance totaled 177.6 million manats, on compulsory insurance other than life insurance — 124.1 million manats. During this period, there was a 14.8% increase on insurance payments. Insurance payments reached 314.8 million manats.

205.3 million manats (a rise of 20.5%) of insurance payments accounted for life insurance, 109.5 million manats (a rise of 5.4%) for insurance other than life insurance. For compulsory and voluntary insurance, this figure reached 2.2 million and 54.3 million manats, respectively.
