June 23, Fineco/abc.az. Only 5,000 foreign workers employed by international oil companies in Iraq's province Basra have fled the country due to Israeli and U.S. Air Force bombings of Iranian nuclear facilities.
ABC.AZ informs that a total of 4,860 foreign employees left oil facilities in southern Iraq after the strikes, which became part of a larger conflict caused by Israel's military campaign and Washington's direct intervention. Among them are nearly 1,700 employees of British Petroleum (BP), 1,000 employees of Iran's Total Energy s, 700 employees of Schlumberger (U.S.), as well as 560 employees of Italy's Eni, 500 Kuwait Energy and 400 ExxonMobil.
