Nearly 98% of deposit money returned to depositors of two closed banks

June 5, Fineko/abc.az. As of January 1, 2025, the depositors of Gunay Bank and MuganBank, which are in the process of liquidation, have been compensated in the amount of 233.3 million manats.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the CBA that 98% and 97% of their deposits were returned to the protected depositors of both banks, respectively.

Thus, 2,209 depositors of Gunay Bank were paid 34.3 million manats, and 7,689 depositors of MuganBank - 199 million manats.
