June 3, Fineko/abc.az. A new gas processing plant will be built at Absheron field.

ABC.AZ informs that Jean-Luc Guiziou, senior vice president for exploration & production in Europe at Total Energies, said this during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum.

He noted that the new plant will be in the "onshore" format, that is, located on land.: "This project is to be implemented at the next stage of the Absheron Project. The main goal in designing the plant is to build the system as simply, efficiently and in a small area as possible. Total Energies has successfully applied this approach in Iraq before, and the same model will be beneficial for Azerbaijan."

According to Guiziou, the project will also serve to reduce the carbon footprint.

He noted that the gas processing plant is aimed at meeting modern standards, both technically and environmentally. The company stated that it has already started planning and technological preparation in this direction.
