June 3, Fineko/abc.az. American startup Neuralink, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, has raised $650 million for the development of brain implants, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Bloomberg.

At least 11 investment companies participated in the new round of Neurolink financing, including RAK Investment Management, Founders Fund and Sequoia Capital. According to Pitchbook, excluding the latest round of capital raising, Neuralink was valued at $9 billion.

Musk's company plans to use the funds received to develop new devices that "deepen the link between biological and artificial intelligence".
