April 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the first two months of 2025, Azerbaijan recorded a significant increase on imports of motor gasoline, prices have fallen.

ABC.AZ reports that for Jan-Feb 2025, import of premium gasoline with engine with octane rating of 95 amounted to 20,992 tons. The cost of these products was $17.93 million.

For comparison, in the same period of 2024, these figures reached 12,375 tons and $11.76 million, respectively. Thus, both in terms of volume and value, imports increased by almost 70%.

Another indicator applies to motor gasoline with an octane rating of 92 (AI-92). In the first two months of 2025, imports totaled 40,878 tons, and its value was $31.72 million. However, in the corresponding period of 2024, these figures amounted to only 8,772 tons and $7.02 million. This is about 4.5 times more than on an annual basis.
