March 14, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, 90% of the commercial petroleum products made at SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Refinery were sent to the domestic market, while the remaining 10% were exported.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Cabinet Ministers' report for 2024, that last year the enterprise processed 5.809 million tons of crude oil, produced 1.25 million tons of gasoline, 590,300 tons of jet engine fuel, 2.06 million tons of diesel fuel, 178,200 tons of liquefied gas, 265,000 tons of bitumen, 12,000 tons of lubricants, 183,400 tons of coke and other products.

"As a result of the measures taken, the oil refining depth made up 97.5%, while 90% of commercial petroleum products were sent to the domestic market, and the remaining 10% were exported," the report says.

It is noted that in 2024, revenues from export of petroleum products reached $273.6 million, and from domestic sales — 4.735 billion manats.

In 2024, the SOCAR gas processing plant processed 3.377 bcm of natural gas, from which it was produced 3.327 bcm of purified dry gas, 12,200 tons of technical butane and 26,000 tons of gas petrol.

"The entire volume of gas gasoline was supplied to the Azərikimya production association as a raw material, and technical butane as a whole is focused on sale in the domestic market," the report emphasizes.

In addition, in the reporting year, the carbamide plant produced 652,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizers, including 63,000 tons sent to the domestic market and 570,000 tons exported. The methanol plant produced 516,500 tons of methanol due to gas processing in the amount of 555.3 million cu m, 95% of which was exported.

"In 2024, SOCAR Polymer LLC produced 124,000 tons of polypropylene and 73,000 tons of high-density polyethylene, of which 99% were exported and 1% were sold on the domestic market," the report says.
