January 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank has issued a license to Premium Bank OJSC for activity as insurance agent.

ABC.AZ reports, with reference to the CBA, that currently 57 legal entities have insurance agent licenses in Azerbaijan.

Premium Bank was established in 1993 under the name AZAL Bank, changed its name to Silk WAY Bank in 2008, and rebranded in 2018.

Its authorized capital is 154.6 million manats. The bank's shareholders are Zarifa Gamzayeva with equity stake of 84.47%, VIP Aviation Services LLC - 15.22% and Elvira Ahmadova - 0.31%.
