Oil price is stable, Brent - $73.22 a barrel

December 26, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades changed slightly in Thursday’s trading in anticipation of data on changes in fuel reserves in the U.S.

ABC.AZ informs that March’s futures for Brent crude oil on the London ICE Futures Exchange rose by 7 cents to $73.22 per barrel by 10:17 a.m.

Quotations of February’s WTI futures on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) had increased by 5 cents to $70.17 per barrel by this time.

Oil futures trading was not held on Wednesday due to the celebration of the Catholic Christmas.

According to estimates by the American Petroleum Institute (API), oil reserves in the U.S. fell by 3.2 million barrels last week. If official data confirm this estimate, a reduction in stocks will be recorded for the fifth week in a row.
