Azerbaijan to monitor strategically important goods

December 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Cabinet Ministers of Azerbaijan has approved the procedure for monitoring strategically important goods and criteria for determining short-term sharp price changes for them.

ABC.AZ informs that the decree was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

The document defines organizational and legal basis for monitoring, the procedure for its implementation, as well as criteria for evaluating price changes. The State Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan has been identified as responsible for monitoring strategically important goods.

The purpose of monitoring is to ensure the sustainability of the country's supply of strategically important goods and to prevent short-term sharp price changes for such goods. Monitoring involves studying the availability and movement of goods, assessing factors that pose a risk to the sustainability of their supply, as well as regular monitoring of the volume of strategically important goods.
