Russia increased gas extraction by 8.2% - despite warm winter

November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Gas production in Russia grew by 8.2% for Jan-Oct 2024 versus the 2023 same term up to 578.2 bcm (data including gas burned in flares).

ABC.AZ informs that in October, production increased by 2.35% up to 61.5 bcm.

Production of "other producers", mainly reflecting Gazprom's production figures, grew almost by 13% year-on-year in 10 months, reaching 370 bcm. In October, the pace of production of "others" slowed down: The indicator increased by 5.4% year-on-year, up to 40.5 bcm, while in September the growth was 11.9%.

Russia has a fairly warm winter. The temperature in the central power system in October was 2.2 degrees higher than last year.
