November 26, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, due to the benefits provided over the past year, the number of employees in the ICT sector has increased by 29.1%, the salary fund by 39.7%, and turnover by 25.6%.

ABC.AZ reports that Nijat Imanov, the head of the Main Tax Policy Department of the State Tax Service, made this statement at an event on the theme "Cooperation with business associations and entrepreneurs, its results" in Baku.

He added that since 2023, companies operating outside of technoparks have also been provided with a number of tax benefits and advantages.

"In addition, from January 1, 2023, for a three-year period, the monthly income of ICT workers up to 8,000 manats is not taxed, and from 2026 for 7 years it will be taxed at a rate of up to 5%. Also, since January 1, 2023, for 10 years, employees have been given the opportunity to pay compulsory state social insurance contributions in the amount of 4-fold the minimum monthly salary," Imanov added.
