November 19, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service has imposed financial sanctions on 200 taxpayers for card-to-card transfers in the city of Baku.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the STS that the agency continues control measures in order to eliminate cases of non-cash payments from card to card in retail and catering facilities, and not through a POS-terminal.
During the control measures carried out in recent days in Baku, it was found that violations were committed at 200 such facilities.
Breaches were documented by protocols, and appropriate financial sanctions were applied to them.
It follows from the STS information that the acceptance of non-cash payments should be carried out only through the POS-terminal, while citizens must be presented with a receipt from the POS-terminal, as well as a receipt from the cash register. Under valid law, providing consumers with the opportunity to make e-payments is a direct responsibility of taxpayers. Entrepreneurs should provide for the use of POS-terminals for non-cash payments in order to avoid financial sanctions.
