According to Erdogan, the country is already implementing the national zero emissions project, which has reduced atmospheric emissions by 5.9 million tons of CO2. By 2030, its implementation will ensure a reduction in CO2 emissions by 100 million tons, and the share of renewable energy in the country's economy will reach 59%.
"We will increase our installed wind and solar power capacity from 31 GW to 120 GW by 2035. In the field of nuclear energy, we strive to reach a capacity of 20 GW by 2050," the Turkish leader stressed.
