November 4, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan has appealed to citizens on the occasion of money transfer operations via Card to Card.
ABC.AZ informs that the appeal notes that making non-cash payments at retail and catering facilities through Card to Card, and not through POS-terminals, is a violation of legislation and consumer rights.
"In such cases, consumers are not provided with an extract from the POS-terminal and a receipt from the cash register, which limits the buyer's ability to claim their rights, as well as receive part of the amount spent back in the form of cashback. At the same time, this leads to the fact that consumers are deprived of the right to use the EDV Geri Al mechanism," the Service emphasizes.
The Tax Service, considering that this violation of the law is tax evasion, encourages citizens to make non-cash payments at retail and catering facilities not through Card to Card transactions, but only through POS-terminals, and entrepreneurs to accept non-cash payments only through POS-terminals in order to avoid financial sanctions envisaged by the Tax Code of Azerbaijan.
