October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 22,104 tons of butter for $123,972 for Jan-Sept 2024, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Customs Committee.

Over the past 9 months, the indicator grew in value by 84.5% or by $56,779 and in volume by 84.3% or 10,155 tons against Jan-Sept 2023. During the same months of 2023, the country imported 12,049 tons of butter and other dairy oils for $67.93 million.

The share of butter and other dairy oils in total imports made up 0.85%.

According to the SSC, for Jan-Sept 2024, Azerbaijan imported 22,345 tons of butter (a rise of 10.5% year-on-year). Thus, country’s butter production exceeded imports by 141 tons.
