Import of this product in Azerbaijan has increased much

October 22, Fineko/abc.az. The import of soybean oil extraction has increased dramatically in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that in the first 8 months of this year, the country imported 99,660 tons of soy extract for $59.42 million.

Imports grew by 42% year-on-year and by 27% in value terms.

Argentina accounted for 75.07 tons of imports, or $44.99 million.

Oilcakes and other solid waste obtained from the extraction of soybean oil are mainly used in animal husbandry. This waste is widely used as animal feed due to its high protein content. Processed foods such as soy flour or soybeans are added to feed to enrich the diet of animals.

A ton of this product imported from Argentina this year amounted to $596. This is $665 less than last year and $69, or 10% less than last year.
