After his visit to Kiev and meeting with Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Sibiga, Hungarian Deputy Foreign Minister Levante Magyar said that Ukraine had promised to resume supplies of Russian oil to Hungary in transit through its territory through Friendship.

ABC.AZ reports that these supplies have stopped since July 17, when Ukraine added Lukoil to the sanctions list. Hungary was extremely upset by this decision, since Budapest uses only Russian oil due to logistical peculiarities.

In September, Hungarian company MOL found an elegant solution: the company will purchase oil on the border of Ukraine and Belarus, after that the oil formally becomes Hungarian and the transit problem must be solved.
