October 4, Fineko/abc.az. Pharmacy organizers are included in the number of subjects of medical insurance. 

ABC.AZ reports that this was reflected in the proposed draft amendment to the Law on Health Insurance, discussed in the Milli Majlis Health Committee and recommended for the plenary session of Parliament.

According to the draft, provision by the state of guarantees for availability of medicines and improvement of the quality of medical services upon the occurrence of an insured event, as well as provision of insured medicines and medicines is among the basic principles of compulsory medical insurance.

Pharmacy organizations operating in accordance with Azerbaiajn’s Laws on Medicines and on Licenses & Permits will be eligible to participate in compulsory medical insurance. A contract will be concluded with pharmacy organizations that have declared their intention to participate in compulsory medical insurance. The release of medicines used by pharmacy organizations on an outpatient basis to insured persons will be allowed only on the basis of a prescription transferred to the database on compulsory medical insurance (electronic information reserve).
