Azerbaijan-Ukraine trade turnover is expected to reach $500 million

October 2, Fineko/abc.az. The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine has begun to recover gradually and has already shown significant growth in the first 8 months of this year.

Thus, according to the State Customs Committee, in 8 months of 2024, both states’ trade turnover increased by 51% against Jan-Aug 2023 up to $315 million.

ABC.AZ reports that Gennady Chizhikov, President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Ukraine, said this in an interview.

The trade turnover between the two countries, which at one time reached $1 billion and more, since the beginning of the war between Russia and Ukraine has significantly decreased. However, the situation is gradually stabilizing and a positive trend has emerged.

So, if by the end of 2023 Ukraine-Azerbaijan trade turnover slightly exceeded $ 470 million, then this year it is expected that it will be more than $500 million.
