October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Capital requirements for insurance companies may be increased in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting CBA general director Shahin Mahmudzadeh, as saying this at the presentation of the financial stability report for the first half of 2024.

He noted that the Central Bank is currently working on implementation of Solvency ll standards. After introduction of new standards, there may be some increase in capital requirements for insurance companies based on risk:

"That is, it has nothing to do with minimum capital requirements."
