September 25, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 99,539 tons of cotton for $161.299 million for Jan-Aug 2024.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that cotton exports grew by $50.614 million or by 45.7% in value terms against Jan-Aug 2023 up to 45,199 tons or 83.2%.
In 8 months of 2023, the country exported 54,340 tons of cotton for $110.685 million.
The average export price of 1 kg of cotton exported by Azerbaijan during this period was 2.76 manats. For the same period in 2023, this figure was 3.46 manats (a drop of 0.71 manats or 20.4% year-on-year).
